John 3 : 16

Where it all began

The purpose of life is rooted in identity — in knowing who you are.

The purpose of life is rooted in identity — in knowing who you are.

See, thou a child lost — or a child who has lost his memories, or wandered off the street without any supervision. It will be difficult to know the whereabouts of that child. Or for the people who found him to know how to return him back, because nobody can know where that child was coming from.

Because he has no idea. And if robbers or bullies decide to take advantage of such a kid, he will have no help from his own people. Why? Because nobody knows where he has gone to. And him, on the other hand, does not know himself. Why? Because he has no memories of anything.

Genesis · The fallThink about what happened in Eden

When man fell, man wandered off. And the Father came down to fellowship with man. He realized man had left his space, and He began to call out to man: Adam, where are you?

Man fell. Lost his identity. And was thrown out into the fields. A man once covered with the glory of God became covered with the skin of an animal. His glory became reduced to that of an animal.

Jesus came to restore man back to himself by dying on the cross.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3 : 16

The price of restorationDo you know how much was paid?

Do you know how much was paid to restore man from his fallen state? It cost the blood of Jesus Christ to be shed for the restoration of mankind.

Think about that — man fell, lost his glorious identity and place, and still God sent His only begotten Son to come down to earth, to become man, just to restore back man's identity. But this time with a price.

Because the moment man fell, man took on another identity — the identity of sin. The laws of sin and death came into effect upon man. (Romans 8:2.)

Remember, a soul that sins shall die. It was not a physical death but a spiritual death — death that separated man from God. Sin was a separation of man from God. Sin brought death and labour unto man. In Eden, the glory of God was the covering of man.

Give your life to Jesus

I hope you have been blessed by this.

If you need to give your life to Jesus right now, pray this prayer out loud:

"Lord Jesus, I come to You a sinner. Wash me with Your blood. I confess I am a sinner. I thank You for taking my place in hell so I can have a place with You in heaven. Make me whole today. I accept You into my life. Be the Lord of my life today. I renounce sin. And I confess You as my Lord and Saviour today and forever more, in Jesus' name."

Wow. If you just said that — welcome to the family of God. Please email us with the caption "I just gave my life to Jesus." We want to stand with you in prayer and will send you a letter, and you will be in our prayers.
